whole lotta wasted time..

Tonight was absolutely glorious. Success beyond my wildest dreams

Oh, wait. That’s in a universe where cracks are considered good

Once again, the dopping process failed completely, taking me multiple times per stone. Out of 4 stones, all but 1 cracked in one way or another. So, if people are looking for cheap opals, look no further. Here’s 4 for the bargain bin. These will only be available on the web.

#0082. 1.05c, 8mm x 6mm x 3m. Cut from Coober Pedy rough, this opal has tiny sparkles of green with the occasional red. Colors show from various angles, and are bright enough that you don’t have to guess that they are there. Peppered with inclusions, and, of course, a nice easy to see crack (believe me, it shows up better in person). $1 + shipping

#0085. Finally, something that isn’t cracked! Lovely green fire from many many angles including the sides. This freeform Coober Pedy opal is a pretty one. Due to the overall transparency, this will work best with a black background on whatever it is set in. SOLD. .55c 7mm x 4mm x 3mm
